A man with nine children in his car was arrested for DUI, Wichita police said.
Responding to a call from a concerned citizen, Wichita police found the man passed out inside a vehicle at a McDonald’s drive-thru at approximately 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Edmond Gulley, 32, refused blood-alcohol tests and was arrested on DUI and child endangerment charges, according to the KAKE report.
Five girls and four boys were inside the car, ranging in age from 5 months to 12 years. According to The Wichita Eagle, police said Gulley is the father of six of the children, and the uncle of the other three children.
Gulley’s driver’s license had been revoked at the time of the incident. According to Kansas Department of Revenue records, his license has been suspended or revoked several times.
The children were unharmed and were released to family members.
