Rushing was arrested in Decmeber 2015 after an Orlando police officer thought flakes of sugar glaze from a Krispy Kreme doughnut were pieces of crystal methamphetamines. The substance tested positive twice when Cpl. Shelby Riggs-Hopkins used a drug field test kit.

"It's an incredible feeling to get arrested when you haven't done anything wrong," Rushing told WFTV when he filed the lawsuit in October 2016.

The state tested it and determined it contained no controlled substances.

Orlando police ended up training 730 officers how to use the roadside drug tests. Riggs-Hopkins was given a written reprimand for making an improper arrest.
