Man arrested after fatal shooting at Tyson Foods plant in Camilla

A man suspected of fatally shooting a Tyson Foods plant employee in Camilla Tuesday has been arrested, according to authorities.

WXFL reported on Tuesday that Mitchell County Coroner Stedderick Thomas said the victim, 31-year-old Rondarius Williams, was shot at the plant but was pronounced dead at the Mitchell County Hospital emergency room.

The Thomasville Times-Enterprise reported officials with the Thomasville Police Department arrested Anwan Dominic Shivers, 25, who fled the scene and was identified as a suspect, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He was charged with one count of malice murder, four counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, WALB reported.

Shivers is being held in the Mitchell County Jail.

The Camilla Police Department and GBI are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Camilla Police Department at 229-336-2201 or the GBI at 229-225-4090
