Police say a National Rifle Association employee accidentally shot himself at the organization’s Fairfax, Virginia, headquarters.

WRC reported that the 46-year-old man accidentally discharged his pistol during firearms training as he holstered the gun.

Vienna Patch reported that police said no charges are expected after they consulted with the commonwealth's attorney's office.

The man was taken to the hospital with a minor wound to the lower body.

The NRA has not commented to WRC about the incident.
