A North Texas dealership has rewarded a woman who said she was acting on her "mama bear" instincts when she jumped out of her minivan and helped restrain another driver who had just rear-ended her minivan. (Source: DallasNews.com)

Jessica Liesmann’s minivan was badly damaged in the rear-ender. Police said the car that hit her had had been stolen earlier in the day.

That was Wednesday. On Thursday, Linesman drove away from the dealership in a 2015 Kia Sedona with an MSRP of $32,000… after a few tears at the presentation ceremony. (Source: CrimeBlog.DallasNews.com)

“I felt sorry for her because of what has happened to her family,” dealership General Manager James Seale said. “I want something good to happen for her.”

Liesman said she  she jumped out of her minivan to confront the driver because she was angry the driver was going so fast in a school zone.

Liesmann’s boyfriend also got out and together they struggled with the suspect until an officer arrived at the scene and arrested him.
