JetBlue, the longtime airline holdout on fees for bags, has started charging passengers to check luggage.
The company plans to charge as much as $25 for the first checked bag if you buy the cheapest ticket. Passengers will be charged $35 to check a second bag. Additional bags will cost $100 each.
The bag fees are part of the company's new fare structure, according to Skift.com.
JetBlue’s “Blue Plus” and “Blue Flex” ticket fares include one free checked bag. Blue Plus prices require passengers to pay for a second piece of luggage. A second bag is included in the Blue Flex rate.
