A Chick-fil-A in Loganville has been thoroughly cleaned after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.

“Our highest priority is the health and well-being of our Team Member and Guests. After learning that a Team Member at Chick-fil-A Loganville was diagnosed with COVID-19, the restaurant initiated the response protocol and took precautionary measures, including disinfecting and deep cleaning the restaurant,” the company said in a statement. “Safe service is our top priority and our restaurants continue to follow CDC and local health department guidelines.”

The affected restaurant is on Atlanta Highway, the Walton Tribune reported.

Dining rooms at Chick-fil-A restaurants remained closed and employees are taking precautions in drive-thrus, including wearing masks and delivering food in plastic containers for customers to grab. Outdoor hand washing stations are also seen at some locations.

Last week, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp relaxed COVID-19 restrictions on businesses. As The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported, there is no longer a maximum party size or a limit on the number of people allowed in restaurants, and employees only have to wear face coverings when interacting with guests. They were previously required to wear face coverings at all times.

At the time of publication of this story, Georgia has more than 60,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There have been 2,605 deaths.
