Animal advocates are up in arms after a lion was killed after it that escaped from a park in Nairobi, Kenya, and attacked a man.
The terrifying encounter played out Wednesday in a small town 12 miles from Nairobi National Park.
CNN reports the 13-year-old male, named Mohawk, attacked a man on a motorcycle. Guards responded to the scene and shot the big cat in front of dozens of stunned witnesses. The guards' response, including the shooting was caught on camera.
After news and video of Mowhawk's death began circulating, people took to social media to voice their concern with the hashtag #JusticeforMohawk.
