Visitors to Legoland Florida in Winter Haven evacuated the park Thursday afternoon after an apparently threatening note was found, according to park officials.
The evacuations began shortly after 12:30 p.m. Authorities did not elaborate on what the note, which was found in the park, said.
Winter Haven police remained on the scene more than two hours later.
Officials with Legoland Florida said they believe the threat is hoax, but added that the park will remain closed out of an abundance of caution.
Legoland Florida said its number one priority is the safety and security of its guests.
No additional information on the threat was immediately available.
