When Ivanka Trump bought some bling from a New York jewelry brand, she probably didn't expect her payment to go toward Democrat Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

But apparently, that's exactly what happened.

The Cut reported Wednesday that Jill Martinelli and Sabine Le Guyader, co-founders of indie jewelry brand Lady Grey, posted a photo to Instagram of a thank-you note they wrote to Trump.

"Dear Ivanka, thank you so much for your web order," the letter reads. "We're happy to let you know that the proceeds of your sale have been generously donated to the American Immigration Council, the Everytown for Gun Safety organization, and the Hillary Clinton campaign. We hope you enjoy your new Lady Grey #helixearcuff."

Martinelli told The Cut that the note was shipped with Trump's order last week.

"While we were flattered to receive an order from Ivanka Trump, our social and political views couldn't be further from those of the Trump campaign," Martinelli added. "When we received her order, we instantly felt compelled to take the money and donate it to a few organizations that were more aligned with our ideals."
