Former FBI Director James Comey is in the midst of delivering his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee about the investigation into Russian tampering in the 2016 presidential election, and people have been tuning in.
The open session, which was available for live streaming, began at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, and the #ComeyDay and #ComeyTestimony hashtags quickly began trending on Twitter as people chimed in on social media with their thoughts.

Many got a kick out of Comey’s “Lordy, I hope there are tapes” quote when referring to President Donald Trump’s tweet about possible secret recordings.

Then there were some who ignored Comey’s colloquialism to instead challenge his comments in support of Trump.
On the other hand, many applauded Comey for his “confidence” and “courage” they say he exemplified during the session.
