Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Jalen Ramsey made quite an entrance at training camp Wednesday morning.
Ramsey arrived at TIAA Bank Field for training camp in an armored truck, according to ActionNewsJax.
He even had an announcer speak on his behalf before he exited the truck. The man grabbed a bullhorn and said, "Y'all know what time it is. This man covers so good, he (can) have his own cellphone service. The man's so good, they're fixing to give him his own jail, called Jalen Towers, because these receivers are on 24-hour lockdown. If you check his pockets, he's got eight Master Locks in his pocket. They're on lockdown all season. The man, the myth, Jalen Ramsey."
After June's mandatory minicamp, Ramsey said his agent told him the Jaguars would not give him a contract extension in 2019, ESPN reported. An hour later, Ramsey, who has started every regular-season game since coming to the Jaguars in 2016, joked on Twitter he was going to "ask for so much money, they have to put me on layaway."
Ramsey was the No. 5 pick in the NFL draft and was named an All-Pro in 2017. He has nine career interceptions.
Ramsey may need that armored car next season. The Jaguars picked up his fifth-year option, which means he would make $13.703 million in 2020, ESPN reported.
