As you leave a new exhibition about Jack the Ripper, you're invited to feel ashamed.

More than a century after his crimes shocked London, fascination with Jack the Ripper grows, with new books, walking tours and an exhibit (above) all bringing fresh attention to the unsolved crimes.

A member of staff looks at a mortuary trolley on display. London newspapers in 1888-89 reveled in the gore, which was spread across the country and to distant lands by telegraph. No one was ever prosecuted for the Ripper murders, and there is debate about how many he killed.
