An Illinois woman is accused of having her two daughters ride on the roof of her SUV to hold down an inflatable swimming pool, WIFR reported.
Jennifer Janus Yeager, 49, of Dixon, was charged with two counts of endangering the health or life of a child, two counts of reckless conduct and failure to secure a passenger of the age of 8 and under the age of 16, the television station reported.
Police received a call Tuesday that an SUV was driving through town with two children inside a pool on the SUV's roof, WIFR reported.
When authorities pulled Yeager over, she told police she drove into town to inflate the pool, then had her daughters sit in the empty pool to prevent it from falling off the car, WREX reported.
Yeager was released from the Dixon Police Department after posting bond, WIFR reported.
