An Illinois man accused of forgery got into more trouble with police after he lied about his identity, authorities said.
The false name failed, however, since the 36-year-old man had his name tattooed on the front of his neck, the Herald & Review of Decatur reported.
Police had an arrest warrant for Matthew C. Bushman, 36, of Mansfield, when he was booked Oct. 11 on a charge of obstructing justice, the newspaper reported.
According to police, Bushman gave a false name and birth date to officers investigating the forgery accusation Oct. 9, the newspaper reported.
According to a news release from the Mattoon Police Department, there was an active warrant for Bushman's arrest in Peoria County.
Coles County court records show Bushman was charged with forgery and obstructing justice, the Herald & Review reported.
