There was no happily ever after for a Saudi couple that divorced just hours after their wedding ceremony.
According to Gulf News, the husband filed for divorce shortly after the ceremony because he became upset that his wife would not consummate their marriage because she was too busy texting.
The husband was allegedly rejected after several attempts to become intimate because his wife wanted to respond to congratulatory text messages from her friends.
When he asked her to stop and asked if her friends were more important than he was, she responded by saying that they were. At that point, the husband stormed out of the hotel room and demanded a divorce.
A court recommended that the couple work on reconciliation, but the husband insisted on a divorce.
