Inspired by the chartbuster “Area Codes” by Atlanta phenom Ludacris and Nate Dogg, the song portrays members of New Gloucester Fire & Rescue rapping and unfolding firehoses while singing about their “hose in different area codes.”

Funny enough, according to Billboard, the firefighters don’t actually have “hose in different area codes,” because the city of New Gloucester and the rest of Maine all fall under the 207 area code.

Still, the video has garnered nearly 400,000 views and 6,000 shares on Facebook since it was posted by the fire department on Friday.

Several members of the department helped with the filming and acting and the star of the video, 21-year-old Conner Boucher, wrote the amusing lyrics, IB Times reported.

According to WGME.com, Boucher loves "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"and is hoping the viral video, now hashtagged with #GetConnorOnEllen, could get DeGeneres' attention.

"We have done other marketing videos in the past, but nothing to this quality. It's amazing to see the response and where it has been seen," New Gloucester Fire and Rescue Captain Scott Doyle said in a news release.
