A one-time homeless man with a smooth, radio voice became well known after he was filmed on the side of an off-ramp in 2011.

Ted Williams eventually landed voice-over work and has been making corporate appearances and speaking in public since.

Now, the man with the ‘golden voice’ says he’s running for president.

Williams will run as an independent. He announced his plans on a radio show in Marion, Ohio.

His platform: fair housing, veterans' issues, jobs and improving schools. He has not put ogether a campaign staff or shared fundraising plans.
