A 5-year-old Kentucky girl is making headlines for a heartwarming good deed: She used her allowance to buy ice cream for state troopers.
Isabella Gregory saw the troopers while eating at McDonald's on Friday. They were heading back from the funeral of Joseph Ponder, a fellow trooper who was shot and killed in the line of duty.

During a Sept. 13 traffic stop, a man sped off, and Ponder chased after him, according to Kentucky State Police. The suspect, later identified as Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks, reportedly fired into Ponder's cruiser. Ponder died at a nearby hospital, and Johnson-Shanks was shot and killed by police after a manhunt.
