Halloween do-over for little girl who missed holiday

What do you do when your child misses one of the big kid holidays?

Just wait until next year?

How about better yet, ask your neighbors to help you out?

That's exactly what one mom in Tulsa, Oklahoma did.

Molly was in the hospital for a month, missing both her birthday party and Halloween, KOTV reported.

Instead of waiting a year to go door-to-door, Molly's mom asked their neighbors in their community, appropriately called Holliday Hills, to let her trick-or-treat recently.

Molly's mother Stephanie Straight said she put the request on Facebook and within 15 minutes, 60 families said they'd take part.

Some neighbors dug out the Halloween decorations and donned their own costumes to give Molly and her family a holiday, a little late, but one that they will probably not soon forget.

Molly had been admitted to the hospital a few days after her third birthday with pneumonia. She was supposed to be in for only a week, but her mother said that it turned into surgeries and complications, stretching the stay to 28 days.
