Crews rescued a half-ton bull that fell into a well in Georgia.
A local large animal rescue group was on the scene aiding in the removal of the bull.
Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester said authorities were on the scene in Fairburn on Wednesday morning. The bull was still alive, Lester said, and police summoned the fire department for assistance hoisting it out.
Crews say the bull probably is not injured because he was moving around in the hole.
A backhoe attempted to dig a pathway for the bull to walk out on his own.
The bull’s owner Abel Lopez says he's had the bull since he was 4-months-old. He's now about 3-years-old.
Lopez said he fell through some rotted wood covering up an old well overnight.
“This morning, we (did) not see him, we looked around. We expect he jumped the fence and we got surprised when we came and we look around this old well. We never knew it was there,” Lopez said.
