A gun accidentally fired during an Easter ceremony Saturday.

The gun went off during Easter vigil mass at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. The bullet only grazed the man who was holding the gun. No one else was hurt.

After the initial shock from the gunshot sound wore off many members of the church rushed to help the man.

"[A nurse] ran up to him and took care of him right there, so a lot of really caring people in Altoona that really care for each other. So it was really nice to see all that," parishioner Asher Carr told WJAC-TV.

According to police, the man did not have to be taken to the hospital. Officials are still determining if the man will face any charges in the incident.
