Giant prehistoric shark teeth washing up on North Carolina beaches

Beachcombers in North Carolina may be in for a big surprise, as giant teeth belonging to the ancient Megaladon have been washing ashore.

Experts estimate that with fossilized teeth washing ashore measuring approximately six inches long, he prehistoric shark-like creatures would have measured an estimated 60 feet long. Some of the teeth are as large as an adult’s hand.

 The coastal North Carolina region has been a hotspot for Megalodon fossils, according to PIX11, with this month setting a record in fossilized finds.
