Do you really like staying in bed?

French researchers are looking for 10 healthy male volunteers for a study on weightlessness that requires 60 days of bed rest.

"The idea with this study is to reproduce the weightlessness of the International Space Station," Dr. Arnaud Beck, the coordinating physician of the study, told 20 Minutes. "So they eat lying down, lie down and go to the toilet. The rule of the game is to keep at least one shoulder in contact with the bed."

Volunteers in the "Cocktail" study will be paid about $17,000 for their time.

Participants will remain lying down with their heads tilted 6 degrees below the level of their feet for two months. Half of the group will also ingest a “cocktail” mix of polyphenol extracts from edible plants to measure the effects on their metabolism, cardiovascular system and muscles.

The study will be conducted at the Institute of Space Medicine and Physiology in Toulouse, France.
