A fraternity at Pennsylvania State University has been suspended after two private Facebook pages containing pictures of partially naked women were discovered, police said.
Several members of the university's chapter of Kappa Delta Rho are accused of taking pictures of the women when they were sleeping or passed out and posting them to the private Facebook page "Covert Business Transactions," according to a police search warrant that was obtained by NBC affiliate WJAC. Pictures on the page also included drug sales and hazing.
WJAC reported that the search warrant stated "Covert Business Transactions" was shut down after one of the victims allegedly found the page, but a second page called "2.0" was made in its place.
Police said the page had nearly 150 members, some current students and others alumni, but because the page was private, all members were invited to join.
Authorities have teamed up with the Penn State Office of Student Conduct and Interfraternity Council in their investigation.
The investigation intends "not only to determine potential victims, potential suspects, but also to sanction the fraternity for their conduct,” said State College Police Lt. Keith Robb.
A statement released by the Interfraternity Council read, in part:
"In response to the discovery of the two Facebook pages allegedly hosted by Kappa Delta Rho, the chapter was immediately placed on full chapter suspension by Penn State's Interfraternity Council.
"Upon completion of all investigation into this matter, Kappa Delta Rho will be summoned by the IFC to undergo a conduct review session."
