Florida woman, 18, used infant to batter boyfriend on beach, authorities say

July 5, 2016Fourth of July beachgoers have kept Volusia County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue crews busy this weekend, including a domestic disturbance on the beach where they said a woman used a baby in a fight with her boyfriend.
The incident was reported near 300 North on Daytona Beach shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Beach Safety officers said an 18-year-old woman of Orange County got into a fight with her boyfriend and used her 6-month-old baby boy to batter the man.
The infant was taken to the hospital and is OK.
The woman, who was not identified, was arrested.
No other details were released.
