Three teen girls are charged with animal cruelty after a Snapchat video that shows a bunny being thrown around a room was posted on a Facebook group created by Nassau County residents.

The incident happened at a house on Fernandina Beach, the Nassau County Sheriff's Office said. Sheriff Bill Leeper said deputies were at the home early Saturday morning.

Officials said the three girls are between the ages of 13 and 14 and will be turned over to the Duval Juvenile Detention Center. The teens may be turned over to their parents after that, investigators said.
