A Florida stripper has been accused of assaulting a passerby with a coconut Saturday after the man filmed her without her permission outside a Key West strip club, police officials said.

Shonta Latasha Bolds, 36, of Miami, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill, according to Monroe County Jail records. The crime is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

The Miami Herald reported that Bolds was sitting on a porch outside the VIP Gentleman's Club around 2 a.m. Saturday when the victim walked by and said, "Ladies."

The man had his camera out and was filming Bolds as he walked by, according to a police report obtained by the Herald.

Bolds shouted obscenities at the man and flung a coconut at him, the newspaper reported.

"I will be honest with you," Bolds told police, according to the arrest report. "I threw it, but it did not hit him."

The report said the man’s video recording did not capture the throw but showed the coconut wobbling on the ground “as if it had just been thrown,” the Herald said.

According to the report, Key West police Sgt. Mark Siracuse told Bolds she had no expectation of privacy while sitting on the strip club's porch. Bolds was released without having to post bond a few hours after being charged, the newspaper said.
