An Interlachen, Florida, man was arrested after complaining to a sheriff’s office supervisor that detectives stole his marijuana patch.

A code enforcement officer spotted marijuana plants while inspecting a property on Lake Susan Road in west Putnam County. The code enforcement officer notified police about the growing marijuana plants.

Police took 91 marijuana plants and began an investigation to find out who owned the property.

Boyd Gene Wiley, 47, went to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on Monday and complained that the detectives took the marijuana without his permission.

Wiley told police he was growing medical marijuana.

He was immediately taken into custody at the Putnam County Jail, but released after posting a $1,004 bond.
