A Tampa man with a reported blood-alcohol level of .238, faces charges after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash  -- and he had a 10-month-old baby in the vehicle, police say.

John McGettrick, 27, was pulled over by a Hillsborough County Sheriff deputy Thursday night after he fled the scene of a hit-and-run. The baby in his vehicle was not injured, according to a news release. Tests revealed McGettrick had a blood alcohol level of .238, according to police. McGettrick’s relationship to the child is unknown, according to NBC Miami.

He was arrested and charged with a DUI, DUI accompanied by a minor and resisting an officer without violence.
