A St. Louis elementary school student is honoring her aunt and helping cancer patients at the same time.
Madeline Domain, a fifth-grader at Rockwood School District in Missouri, came up with "Katiedo Kare Kits 4 Kids," ABC News reported.
Katiedo was the name she used for her Aunt Kathy, who lost her battle with cancer.
"When she died, I thought I should do something bigger," Madeline told ABC News. "I thought, all kids want to do is be happy, and I wanted to let them be happy when they go through their treatment."
Each kit includes kid-friendly items: a stuffed animal, acoloring book and twisty straws.
So far she and her classmates have made 50 kits and plan to drop them off at the local children's hospital.
