Joy Lofhouse first climbed into the cockpit of the Spitfire 70 years ago and recently had the opportunity to take to the skies again.
Lofthouse was part of the Air Transport Auxiliary during World War II, and flew numerous types of aircraft from factories to front-line airbases. She flew up to 18 different Royal Air Force aircraft, but says that the Spitfire was her favorite.
