The highway was partially closed until the afternoon for the extensive cleanup after about a dozen kegs spilled, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

The incident started after a woman walked into traffic at 4:40 a.m. and was fatally hit by a vehicle. As traffic slowed for the investigation, the first truck slowed to around 45 mph, when it was hit by the truck carrying the beer kegs.

The driver of the second truck suffered minor injuries, the Union-Tribune reported.
