Two police officers say they were refused service at a popular fast food restaurant.

According to Dallas, Texas, television station KDFW, Officers Michael Magovern and Cameron Beckham went to a Whataburger in suburban Lewisville. Before Magovern had a chance to place his order, he said a man behind the counter looked at him and said, "We don't serve police officers."

In a Twitter post, Whataburger said the man behind the counter was no longer employed by the company.

“We’re appalled by this incident,” Whataburger said in the post. “… We’re apologizing to the officers in person to make this right.”

After the incident, Magovern and Beckham went to a nearby Dairy Queen to satisfy their late-night cravings.
