A south Florida bus driver is being credited for safely stopping a runaway school bus with no brakes.

Cellphone video captured the screams of students as the bus zoomed down a busy road in Boca Raton against traffic after its brakes failed Wednesday.

Student said they couldn't have asked for a better driver.

"She was telling us like, 'Calm down. We're going to be fine. Don't worry.' The fact she did what she did, it's better than I could hope for," said a student.

After zooming a mile down the road, the driver was able to bring the bus to a stop by rubbing its tires against a curb.

There were no injuries reported.

The brake malfunction is under investigation.
