Surveillance video shows 16-year old Trevius Williams just moments before he was hit and killed.

The video is dark, but the teen can be seen walking into a store on Lem Turner Road shortly before walking back out and being hit trying to cross the street.

Police say a driver tweeted pictures of a dead teen lying on a curb right after that crash.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told Action News Jax they saw the tweets first hand.

"The person tweeting was indeed the driver," said JSO Public Information Officer Melissa Bujeda.

Police say minutes after the crash, that driver posted several tweets saying, "I just killed a man" with photos of Williams lying on the ground in a pool of blood. We're not showing you those photos because they are too graphic.

At 11:25 p.m. Sunday, the driver posted another tweet stating "worst night of my life" after people contacted JSO about his previous tweets.

"The generation of social media has come to the point where people are tweeting every little thing," Bujeda said.

Bujeda said that driver is not facing charges right now but posting the photos of Williams on the ground was not the smartest thing to do.

But one of the tweets that causes a lot of concern was posted at 6:28 p.m. Sunday, a tweet from the account states "I drunk so much lean," which is cough medicine mixed with Sprite.

"I think it puts a view on the driver of not having a lot of respect for the circumstances," said Action News Jax Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson.

Carson said although that driver is not facing charges for the accident, those photos maybe used as evidence in court.

"I mean, he, in fact he tweeted the information so it could be used against him," Carson said.

Action News Jax is working to find out if a blood test was performed last night.

Police say the driver is cooperating with their investigation.
