A driver hopped a curb trying to pass another vehicle and crashed into 15 cars lining the road at a Chevrolet dealership on Wednesday, according to police.

"It's been a rough day," Stephen Montgomery, who owns the Big M Chevy dealership, told WAVE. "In a lot of ways, we're kind of lucky it was just cars that I can replace."

Insurance will cover the damage which included seven Cruzes, five Malibus, two Impalas and a Sonic.

Although unusual, the accident is just that -- an accident, police said. The driver was not reckless or under the influence.

"I've been doing this 25 years, and I don't think I've worked (a crash) like that," police Chief Jeffrey Cross said. "You can never pay too close attention to the road while you're driving."
