Dream home or nightmare? A beach house in Hammock Dunes, Florida, has turned into the latter for a Missouri couple, according to The Associated Press.
The custom home near Palm Coast was built on the wrong lot in the Ocean Hammock community, owners Mark and Brenda Voss learned recently.
The couple bought the lot two years ago and hired Keystone Homes to build the house, which was built on the lot next door by mistake.
Mark Voss said the couple is in "total disbelief," the Daytona Beach News Journal reported.
A Keystone official said the company is trying to negotiate a settlement between the property owners.
