A dog hit by a snow plow was reunited with her owner on Thursday.

Vixen, a three-year-old mixed breed dog, fractured her right hind leg in the accident. Donors helped to pay for Vixen's surgery, which her vet says was successful.

John Cavallo, a retired grandfather of six and Waltham resident, was reunited with Vixen at 3 p.m. on Thursday after she was discharged.

Cavallo thanked the community for their support.
