To protect and serve ... and mow lawns?
A Madison County Sheriff's deputy took his oath to protect and serve his community to the next level when he came to the aid of a mother of an infant.
Rachael Brindley posted the good deed to her Facebook page.
She thought she was in trouble, according to the post, but in reality, the deputy saw the new mom trying to cut the grass while wearing her 4-month-old in a front-facing baby carrier, WAFF reported.
Rachael's husband, Ryan, had been working on a project for his job and she said he hadn't had a chance to cut the grass, so she tried to help him.
