A Florida woman was arrested on Wednesday after deputies said she stashed marijuana in her niece’s lunchbox during a traffic stop.

Tasha Sims, 33, was pulled over in Pompano Beach just before 9 p.m. when deputies said the registered owner of the vehicle she was driving didn't have a valid license, NBC Miami reports. Deputies said a young girl was observed in the front seat without a seat belt and that there was the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Sims admitted to hiding marijuana in the girl's lunchbox, and told deputies that she was aware of her suspended license and didn't want to be stopped. "She admitted that she messed up and that it was wrong," a deputy stated, according to WPLG.

Sims was arrested and charged with child neglect, possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license.
