One person is dead in a South Carolina county after tornado sirens went off and heavy winds blew in the area Friday.
According to a tweet from CN2 News, Emergency Management confirmed a death in Lancaster County. WSOC later said the county coroner said 57-year-old Joe Dale Humphries was killed when he was driving his down the street during the storm and a tree and power pole fell on his pickup truck.

In another South Carolina county, extensive damage was also reported. According to a tweet from the Chester County Sheriff's Office, the the local fire department, department of transportation, emergency management and highway patrol are working together to clean up damage.
Tornado warnings were put in place in multiple South Carolina towns throughout the day. In Tennessee, there were severe thunderstorm warnings and advisories.
