As home bakers head to the kitchen this holiday season, Cuisinart has announced a recall of its food processors.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that the riveted blade can crack and small metal pieces can break off into the food.
Approximately 8 million of the defective devices were sold from 1996 until 2015.

Only blades with four rivets on the bottom are included in the recall.
Model numbers of the food processors can be found on the bottom of the appliance and include:

- DFP-11
- DFP-14
- DLC-5
- DLC-7
- DLC-8
- DLC-10
- DLC-XP
- DLC-2007
- DLC-2009
- DLC-2011
- DLC-2014
- DLC-3011
- DLC-3014
- EV-7
- EV-10
- EV-11
- EV-14
- KFP-7
- MP-14
There have been 69 reports of blades breaking and 30 reports of mouths being cut or damage to teeth.
