Couple fights back when naked man breaks into home
A Mississippi couple was startled out of sleep by a naked man who broke into their home early Saturday morning.
But the couple turned the tables on the intruder and quickly took control of the situation.
Fred Kately awakened to his wife yelling at the intruder, Kenda Casey, who was trying to sexually assault her, according to authorities.
“He's acting like he's an exotic dancer on top of my wife," Kately told WLOX.
Kately’s wife tried to get Casey off of her, but he threw her to the floor, authorities said.
Kately, a Navy veteran, grabbed his gun, intent on shooting the intruder, but Kately said his wife and his faith stopped him from pulling the trigger.
The couple’s 9-year-old grandson was awakened by the commotion and called 911.
Kately’s wife was able to pin down the suspect and began praying with him until police arrived.
Casey, who has a lengthy criminal record, was taken to the Harrison County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
The couple, still shaken by the incident, were surprised to learn that they know Casey through a family connection.
