A Johnstown couple is accused of tying a 4-year-old child’s hands together and stuffing her into a garbage bag.
According to the Tribune-Democrat, police arrested Khristopher Newman, 34, and Crystal Lynn Jedrzejek, 31.
Police said the Nov. 16 incident was a punishment after the girl soiled herself and she was left in a dark basement with no heat, according to the Tribune-Democrat.
The girl was taken to the hospital with a liver injury two days later.
Newman is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and disorderly conduct.
Jedrzejek is charged with endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and disorderly conduct.
Police allege the couple used duct tape to tie the hands of a 4-year-old girl and then stuffed her into a garbage bag for soiling herself. The girl was left in a dark basement with no heat, police said.
