A commercial real estate company gave $10 million in bonuses to its 198 employees.

Employees at St. John Properties will get $50,000 to $250,000 depending on how long they have been with the company.

"We wanted to reward our employees in a big way that would make a significant impact on their lives," company founder Edward St. John said in a release. "I am thankful for every one of our employees, for their hard work and dedication. I couldn't think of a better way to show it."

Employees were handed a red envelope with their bonus Saturday at the company's holiday party.

Some workers planned to use the money to pay off their mortgage, cover college tuition for their children or take a vacation, KUTV reported.
