An intrusion of cockroaches swam to higher ground Saturday morning as floodwaters from Hurricane Barry approached land, video shows.

WWLT posted video of the swimming cockroaches as the storm made its way to the coast.

Barry was downgraded to a tropical storm and made landfall Saturday afternoon.

Although Barry has weakened, officials still are warning about storm surge, heavy rains and powerful winds.
