CNN host and commentator Van Jones and his wife, Jana Carter, are divorcing after 13 years of marriage.

"Though we have decided to end our marriage, we still love each other very much," the couple said in a statement obtained by People Friday. "We will continue raising our kids together, running our businesses together and supporting each other's growth," the statement continued. "There is no beef or drama — just evolution."

The couple has two sons together. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Carter filed for divorce Friday in Los Angeles County Court. Married in 2005, they separated in May.

Carter and Jones are both attorneys. Carter is also an entrepreneur, according to TMZ.

Jones, 49, hosts “The Van Jones Show” on CNN, where he also frequently appears as a commentator. He worked as President Barack Obama’s Special Advisor for Green Jobs from March to September 2009. He is a political activist and has co-founded multiple nonprofits and authored three New York Times bestsellers.
