The NWS said wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph could blow down trees, cause power outages and may blow a small dog away.

“Hold on to your Pooch!” the organization said in a tweet.

The warning may be funny, but it's not impossible. In 2009, a 6-pound Chihuahua named Tinkerbell was blown more than a mile away by 70 mph winds in Michigan.
