Shoppers might have noticed a new Twinkie on store shelves this week. Hostess Brands on Tuesday unveiled a new variety of the well-loved snack cakes.
Hostess Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies feature a chocolate cake filled with peanut butter crème for a sweet and salty take on the classic treat.
Burke Raine, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Hostess Brands, said in a news release that the new cakes are “another prime example of our efforts to embrace consumer flavor trends.”
“With Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies, we have paired America’s favorite flavor combination with America’s most beloved snack cake,” he said.
The cakes are being sold in single-serve and multi-pack packages.
